Dyneema fibre tree restraints installed to protect the house from tree failure due to localised defects at a number of branch junctions. These restraints are not tensioned to be load bearing but will support the load should failure occur. The installed restraint system offers an effective tree preservation and risk management solution.

This lightning struck English Oak in the Southern Highlands of NSW sustained extensive structural damage. Our tree restraint division installed this load bearing system to support the damaged stems and greatly reduces the likelihood of total tree failure. The restraint system has a rated strength of 7500 kg.

Structural tree defects can be a major safety risk. The tree restraints on this project are designed to support tree sections should failure occur.

The dyneema fibre restraints have an integrated shock absorbing system and are spliced to the defective sections of tree. They form a very effective tree preservation solution and greatly reduce the risks associated with tree failures. This custom designed fibre rope tree restraint system is design by Bill Goddard from our structural tree restraint division.
